- Acqua fresca sempre disponibile
Osservare sempre: Appetito, feci (devono rimanere normali), comportamento. Se compaiono feci molli o cavallo mostra inappetenza, rallentare l'introduzione.
DURATA INTEGRAZIONE:
CONSERVAZIONE DOPO APERTURA:
Fonte proteica vegetale alternativa a concentrati proteici commerciali.
Sempre all'interno di piano dietetico controllato.
CONSULTAZIONE PROFESSIONALE:

Is protein cake safe for competition horses?
Yes, completely safe. Produced exclusively from EU certified hemp varieties with THC < 0.2% in compliance with Italian regulations (Law 242/2016) and FEI regulations. It contains no doping substances. Can be used in horses subject to anti-doping controls without problems. Laboratory analyses for each batch are available upon request.
How much protein cake can I give my horse?
The protein cake can be supplemented for up to 30-50% of the horse's usual feed. Example: if the horse receives 2kg of feed/day, you can replace 600g-1kg with protein cake. Supplementation should always be evaluated in the context of the complete diet. For personalized dosages based on weight, age, activity, and specific conditions, we recommend consulting a veterinarian or equine nutritionist. Contact us for free technical support.
Can I use the cake as the sole feed?
No, the cake is a vegetable supplement, not a complete feed. It does not provide all the nutrients in the necessary proportions for a balanced diet. It should always be accompanied by quality hay/grass (the basis of the diet) and possibly other balanced feeds to complete nutritional intake. It partially replaces (30-50%) cereals or commercial pellets, not the entire ration.
Will my horse accept the cake?
Most horses readily accept the cake, especially if introduced gradually. The characteristic hemp smell is generally appealing. Tip: start with small quantities (10-15% feed replacement) mixed very well with the usual feed. Increase gradually over 2-3 weeks. If necessary, slightly moisten the pellets to release aroma and soften texture.
How long does it take to see results?
The first visible benefits (improved coat, general physical condition) appear after 4-6 weeks of regular supplementation. Full benefits on muscle recovery, immune system, and digestion require 60-90 days of continuous use. For optimal results, consistent medium-to-long-term supplementation is recommended.
Can I use cake and hemp oil together?
Yes, it's an excellent synergistic combination. Cake provides protein and essential amino acids. Oil provides concentrated omega fatty acids. Used together, they offer complete and enhanced supplementation to maximize benefits for coat, joints, performance, immune system, and recovery. Many professional stables use this combination.
Is the cake suitable for elderly horses or those with kidney problems?
Healthy elderly horses benefit from high-quality protein to maintain muscle mass. However, horses with diagnosed kidney failure require controlled/reduced protein diets. In these cases, always consult a veterinarian before supplementing additional protein sources. An equine nutritionist can assess if and to what extent the cake is compatible with the specific condition.
Can I give the cake to growing foals?
Yes, excellent for foals. High biological value proteins and essential amino acids support harmonious growth and musculoskeletal development. Introduce gradually after weaning (6-8 months) by partially replacing commercial protein feeds. Always within a balanced growth diet agreed upon with a nutritionist.
Is the cake suitable for pregnant and lactating mares?
Yes, particularly beneficial. Pregnant mares: Essential amino acids, minerals (calcium, phosphorus, zinc), and vitamins support fetal development and maternal health, especially in the third trimester. Lactating mares: Quality proteins support the production of nutritious milk for the foal. Supplement in the appropriate percentage (30-50% of feed) within a balanced diet for gestation/lactation.
How do I store the cake after opening?
Store in a cool, dry place, away from moisture. Always close the bag tightly after use (clip, tie, elastic). Moisture is the main enemy: it can cause mold on the pellets. If possible, transfer to an airtight container (plastic bin with lid). Preferably consume within 2-3 months of opening. Periodically check for absence of mold/unusual odors.
Can I use the cake for ponies, donkeys, mules?
Yes, the benefits are identical. Adjust quantities proportionally to weight and size. Principle: replace 30-50% of the usual feed with the cake. Example: a 300kg pony receiving 1kg of feed/day → replace 300-500g with the cake. The same gradual introduction precautions apply.
Can the cake help overweight horses or those with metabolic syndrome?
Yes, it can be useful as part of a controlled dietary plan. Replacing starch-rich cereals (which cause problematic glycemic spikes for metabolic horses) with the cake provides protein and fiber without simple carbohydrates. However, overweight/metabolic horses require strict overall feed management: always consult a veterinarian for a complete balanced dietary plan.
