Regular cleaning:

Leather care:
The leather trims are tanned without polluting chemicals: treat them periodically with a dry soft cloth. Avoid chemical polishing products.

Local stain removal:
For small stains, use a damp sponge with neutral detergent, dabbing without rubbing vigorously.

Storage:
Store dry, in a well-ventilated area. Hemp is naturally resistant to mould and moths: fewer storage problems compared to other fabrics.

Is it rainproof?

The hemp-cotton fabric is not technically waterproof, but hemp has a natural resistance to moisture. It handles light rain well; for heavy rain, it's better to protect it. It is not a technical trekking backpack for rain.

What does "leather tanned without polluting chemicals" mean?

Tanning is the process that transforms raw hide into usable leather. Traditionally, it uses aggressive chemicals like chrome. Tanning "without polluting chemicals" uses vegetable or alternative low-impact agents. The leather finishes on our small backpack are processed with this approach.

How much can it hold?

The dimensions 34 × 27 × 12 cm offer enough space to carry a day's essentials: wallet, phone, tablet, A5 notebook, a small book if needed, personal accessories. It is not designed for a large quantity of A4 books or notebooks (for those, there is the large backpack).

How do I wash it?

Hand wash only in lukewarm water with mild detergent. Do not machine wash, do not tumble dry, do not expose to strong direct sunlight (it can fade the dye). More details in the Maintenance and Care tab.

Can the color change over time?

The dye is natural and may fade slightly with prolonged exposure to strong sun or frequent washing. This is a natural characteristic of plant-based fabrics, not a defect.

What is the difference from the Large Hemp Backpack?

The Large Backpack (45 × 41 × 15 cm) is designed for school, work, and more structured travel, and comfortably holds A4 size items. The Small Backpack (34 × 27 × 12 cm) is more compact, ideal for daily use, light travel, and as a carry-on bag on a plane.
