Giacca HavanaEco in canapa Clara naturale 280 gr/m² Made in Puglia - CanaPuglia

Clara CanaPuglia Fabric 280 gr/linear meter | 100% Hemp | Tailored Overshirt | Made in Puglia | One Size 46

Jacket-shirt (overshirt) made of 100% hemp from the Apulian tailoring company HavanaEco, made with our natural Clara fabric (280 gr/linear meter). A garment that comes from a local supply chain: CanaPuglia fabric + HavanaEco tailoring Made in Puglia.

The color is the natural beige of raw Clara - the original color of the fiber, with those warm shades that make the fabric lively, not flat like an industrial dye.

It is not a structured jacket with lining - it is a distinctive overshirt: light, unlined, with a tailored structure but shirt-like comfort. It can be worn as a summer/mid-season outerwear over a t-shirt, shirt, or light sweater, or as a main garment on warm days over bare skin or a thin tank top.

Italian collar, closure with matching front buttons, long sleeves with button cuffs, clean cut without obvious external pockets.

Regular fit. Garment designed for men. Currently available in one size: 46 (IT) = 30 (US/UK).

Shirt-jacket versatile for warm and mid-seasons, designed for multiple contexts:

  • Summer outerwear:Over a t-shirt or light shirt on summer evenings, when you need something more without being heavy.
  • Mid-season overshirt:Spring and autumn with a light knit underneath - perfect time for use.
  • Tailored shirt-jacket:Worn as a main garment, it gives a more structured aesthetic than a normal shirt.
  • Travel:Unlined, folds well in a suitcase, versatile.
  • Layered look:Over a white t-shirt + jeans + sneakers = an immediate and polished look.

What it is NOT:

  • It is not a structured jacket with lining and padding.
  • It is not a formal blazer (it does not have structured lapels, pockets, suit stitching).
  • It is not a winter garment.

What it IS:

A hemp overshirtfrom Apulian tailoring, one of those that contemporary fashion has brought back into vogue as a versatile alternative between "not enough of a shirt" and "too formal of a jacket".

Why Clara 280 gr/m for an overshirt:

The grammage of Clara CanaPugliaoffers structure without heaviness. The fabric has enough body to maintain a clean tailored line (not "floppy" like light shirts), but remains breathable and suitable even for warm days.

Natural thermoregulation:

Hemp is a hollowfiber that manages the microclimate well: cool in summer, warm when an extra layer is needed. In an overshirt, this characteristic is ideal - it covers but does not stifle.

Behavior over time:

Like all hemp, Clara improves with every wash, softening without losing strength.

When to wear it:

  • Summer evenings:When the temperature drops and you need an extra layer without feeling bulky
  • Spring and autumn:Perfect for mid-season - over a t-shirt, shirt, or light sweater
  • Stylish outings:Aperitifs, informal dinners, daytime events where you want to look put-together but not overdressed
  • Creative work / freelance / smart casual:An excellent alternative to a classic jacket in creative environments
  • Travel:Versatile, adapts to various climates, folds easily into a suitcase

Why the natural color works:

The raw Clara beige easily integrates into any wardrobe - it pairs with white, ecru, sand, navy, military greens, and denim of all shades. It doesn't require forced coordination.

Who it's for:

For the man who knows the difference between an overshirt and a jacket, who appreciates contemporary layering, who values fabric and cut over a logo. Those looking for a "proper jacket" are not the target for this garment.

Washing:

  • Machine wash max 30°Con a delicate
  • cycleEco-friendly detergent
  • (preferred)No bleach
  • , no harsh detergentsNo fabric softener
  • (hemp softens naturally)Wash separately

or with similar colors, especially for the first few washes

  • Drying:Air dry
  • , in the shade or in a well-ventilated areaNo tumble dryer
  • (it shrinks the fiber)
  • Hang on a coat hanger to maintain the garment's shape

Do not wring forcefully

  • Ironing:Hot ironwith steam
  • (hemp can withstand high temperatures)
  • Iron collar, cuffs, and chest carefully to maintain the tailored structure
  • Ideally, iron the garment slightly damp

Inside out to preserve the colorOver time:

The Clara
improves with each wash

, becoming progressively softer and developing a personal patina. The natural color may slightly fade in prolonged direct sunlight - normal behavior for raw fiber.

  • Storage:Always hang on a
  • coat hangerHemp is naturally
  • moth and mold repellent

For long periods, use a cotton bag (avoid plastic)Initial creases and structure:

Is it a real jacket or a shirt-jacket?

It's an overshirt: a garment with an intermediate structure between a shirt and a jacket. It is not a structured jacket with a lining, it has no padding or stiff lapels. It is lightweight, suitable to be worn as an extra layer over other garments, or as the main garment on warm days. If you are looking for a formal jacket with a lining and blazer-like structure, this is not the right item.

What fabric is it?

100% Clara CanaPuglia hemp, weight 280 gr/lm(gram per linear meter, with fabric height 150 cm). It is our standard fabric for structured but lightweight garments.

Who makes it?

The HavanaEcotailoring shop in Sava (TA)in Puglia, a sustainable capsule of the Toma Italian Brands group. The fabric is our Clara CanaPuglia.

Is the color white?

No, it is the natural color of raw Clara- beige with warm nuances of undyed hemp. Not an optical white.

What size is a 46?

The Italian 46corresponds to a 30 US/UK. Chest width 60 cm = 120 cm circumference, shoulders 51 cm. Regular fit.

How do I know if it fits me?

Compare the table measurements with an overshirt or shirt-jacket you already own. Critical measurements: shoulders (51 cm), chest width (60 cm = 120 cm circumference), sleeve length (65 cm).

Is it worn open or closed?

Both options. Openworks great over a white t-shirt or shirt underneath - a contemporary layered look. Closed with all buttonsgives a more minimal aesthetic, almost like a structured shirt. Both are valid aesthetics, only the character of the look changes.

Is it suitable for summer evenings?

Yes, it is one of the main uses. On summer evenings when the temperature drops, worn over a t-shirt or light shirt it works perfectly as outerwear that protects without getting too warm.

Is it suitable for winter?

No. The 280 gr/lm weight is too light for cold weather. As an overshirt over a sweater it can work as a layer on mild autumn days, but it is not a winter garment.

Are there other sizes available?

Currently only size 46. Contact us to check future availability.

How do I wash it?

Machine wash max 30°C delicate program, no fabric softener, no tumble dryer. Iron with steam to reactivate the tailored structure. More details in the Maintenance and care tab.

Does it wrinkle a lot?

Less than linen. Hemp creates more rounded and less pronounced creases, which soften with use. Steam ironing removes them well.
