SUGGESTED DOSAGE (to be integrated into the usual diet):
Adult horse 500kg: 30ml/day (approx. 2 tablespoons)
Sport horse intense activity: 50-100ml/day
Weaned foal up to 2 years: 15-30ml/day
Pregnant mare (last 3 months gestation): 50-80ml/day
Lactating mare: 80-100ml/day
Breeding stallion: 50-80ml/day
Senior horse (>15 years): 30-50ml/day
Pony 250-300kg: 15-20ml/day
Adult donkey 200-250kg: 15ml/day
General principle: Approximately 0.5-1ml per 10kg of body weight. Adjust dosage based on physical condition, activity, and goals.
METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION:
Pour directly onto feed (grains, flakes, pellets, muesli) or hay. Mix thoroughly to ensure complete and uniform intake. The oil makes the ration more palatable and facilitates intake even in horses with poor appetite or picky eaters.
When to administer: Preferably divide the daily dose into 2 administrations (morning and evening) to improve intestinal absorption and distribute energy intake. Integrate into the usual ration without the need for drastic changes to feeding times.
DURATION OF SUPPLEMENTATION:
Minimum 30 days to observe the first visible benefits (shinier coat, improved energy, appetite).
60-90 days for complete and consolidated benefits on joints, athletic performance, behavior, fertility.
Continuous use recommended: To maintain benefits over time, consistent supplementation is recommended. The oil is not a quick-acting drug but a supplement that optimizes health and well-being in the medium to long term.
FOOD PAIRINGS:
Compatible with all types of feed: Hay, grass, pellets, flakes, grains, muesli, alfalfa. It integrates perfectly without the need to upset the usual diet.
Suggested cereal reduction: The oil provides concentrated energy (about double that of cereals per equal weight). When supplementing with oil, you can reduce the amount of cereals in the ration while maintaining the same energy intake. Example: a 500kg horse receiving 3kg cereals/day + 30ml oil → reduce cereals to 2-2.5kg. This benefits intestinal health (less fermentable starch = less risk of colic/acidosis).
Combination with other supplements: Compatible with most supplements (vitamins, minerals, glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM, probiotics). In fact, it improves the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K).
SPECIFIC USE TIPS:
For sport horses: Administer a higher dose (50-100ml) during periods of intense training and competitive season. Do not administer an extra dose immediately before exercise/competition (it can cause a feeling of heaviness). Always divide into 2 administrations morning/evening, spaced out.
For pregnant mares: Gradually increase the dose in the last 3 months of gestation (50-80ml/day) when energy requirements increase but appetite tends to decrease due to fetal bulk. Omega 3s support fetal neurological development. Continue high dose (80-100ml) throughout lactation to enrich mare's milk.
For foals: Start supplementation after weaning (6-8 months) with 15ml/day, gradually increasing to 30ml around 2 years. Supports harmonious growth, brain development, immune system. Do not administer to foals still suckling (they get omega 3/6 from mare's milk if mare is supplemented).
For senior horses: A dose of 30-50ml/day helps joint mobility, coat quality (often dull in old age), digestive efficiency (reduced in seniors), immune system. Benefits are particularly visible after 60-90 days of continuous use.
STORAGE AFTER OPENING:
Store the container in a cool place, ideally in a refrigerator for 5L containers. For 25L containers, if the refrigerator is not large enough, store in a cool cellar/storage room (<15°C) away from light.
Always seal the cap tightly after each use to minimize contact with oxygen (the main cause of oil oxidation).
For large containers (25L) used slowly, consider transferring to smaller bottles to reduce air in the main container.
COMPETING HORSES:
Product totally free of phytocannabinoids (0% CBD, 0% THC), therefore safe for horses undergoing anti-doping controls in national and international competitions. Complies with FEI regulations. Used by professional competition stables without any problems. Laboratory analyses confirming absence of cannabinoids available upon request.
