What Are Friselle (Friselline)

Friselle (or "frise" in the Apulian dialect) are a traditional baked product from Puglia, originally known as "sailors' bread" because they kept for a long time. The double baking process makes them incredibly hard and crunchy, perfect for storing and then dipping into them before eating.
